Detailed Itinerary

>Day 1: Arrival at Srinagar

- Srinagar (altitude: 1585m): Free day to Explore Srinagar. One can visit Shankaracharya Temple and famous Mughal Garden and Dal Lake. Shikara ride in Dal Lake in an evening time is a beautiful experience

Day 2: Srinagar to Kargil via Sonmarg (220 Km – 6 Hours)

- Sonmarg (altitude: 2730m): Sonmarg is called a meadow of gold surrounded by Snowy Mountain and Indus River meanders through the valley. It’s a picturesque location. One can visit to Thajwas Glacier on ponies.
- Zozila Pass or Zoji La (altitude: 3528m): Zoji La is a high mountain pass and entrance to Ladakh when you enter from Kashmir, is Located in the Dras, Ladakh. The pass connects the Kashmir Valley to its west with the Dras and Suru valleys to its northeast and the Indus valley further east.
- Drass or Dras Village (altitude: 3300m): Popularly known as second coldest inhabited on earth.
- Kargil (altitude: 2676m): On our Journey to Kargil, we will visit War memorial hall and Museum- also known as Vijay path. The memorial was constructed by the Indian Army in the memory of the soldiers and officers of the Indian Army who laid their lives in Kargil War. Then drive along the Drass River till we arrives at Kargil

Day 3: Kargil to Leh (220 Km – 6 Hours)

- Lamayuru Monastery (altitude: 3510m): This 11th century monastery houses around 150 Buddhist Monk. Lamayuru is famous for its ‘Lunar’ or ‘Moon like” landscape. It is believed that the area was once a lake is dried up and the place started to get moonlike craters.
- Mulbekh (altitude: 3300m) Monastery and Maitreya Buddha: While heading toward Leh, in Mulbekh village, a striking enormous figure of Maitreya Buddha carved into the rock face dated back to 8th century is seen.
- Indus – Zanskar River Confluence: The green-tinged Indus River originates in the Tibetan Plateau near the Manasarovar range, whereas the shiny blue Zanskar has its source in the Zanskar valley. Both the rivers merge near the scenic Nimmu valley, The Rivers are clearly distinguished by their colours.
- Megnetic Hill: This small stretch of road at 14000ft, located about 30km before Leh City, is attracts stationary vehicles upwards, When left with the engine off, a car can roll up at a speed of 20km/hour on this hill.
- Gurudwara Patthar Sahib: 25km before Leh, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib stands at the place where Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikh religion and the first guru, is believed to have vanquished a demon.

Day 4: Leh Sight Scene (70Km – 2 Hours)

- Stok Palace: Stok Palace is the reflection of the glorious days of Namgyal rule in Ladakh. Dating back to 1820. Stok Palace also houses a must-see museum that has a collection of artefacts and relics related to Ladakh's old monarchy.
- Sonam Wangchuk School – Secmol: The school established by Respected Mr. Sonam Wangchuk and got its Fame from movie 3 Idiots has reformed the education system in the remote area of Ladakh.
- Shanti Stupa: One of the seven Buddhist Shanti Stupas across the world, the Shanti Stupa in Leh, Ladakh is an abode of peace and serenity. The purely white, dome shaped structure towers two storeys high above the surrounding landscape.
- Leh Palace: The Nine Story high, Leh Palace – Built around 1600, is a former royal palace overlooking the town of Leh, Ladakh, The palace was abandoned when Dogra forces took control of Ladakh in the mid-19th century and forced the royal family to move to Stok Palace.
- Leh Local Market: Leh Market is one of the busiest, most colourful places in Leh, where you can get everything imaginable- from groceries to clothes, jewellery to local street food. The Leh Market is a perfect representation of the culture of Leh- vibrant and colourful.

Day 5: Leh to Nubra via Khardungla Pass (140 Km – 5 Hours)

- Khardungla Pass: The elevation of Khardung La is 5,359 m (17,582 ft), It was once the highest motorable pass. (Currently umling La Pass, located at an altitude of 19,300ft, has overtaken Khardung La Pass to become the highest motorable road in the world.
- Hunder: Hundar was once the capital of the former Nubra kingdom. Hundar village is famous for Sand dunes, Bactrian camels (Shaggy double hump Camel). It is located in the Nubra tehsil, on the banks of the Shyok River. The Hunder Monastery is located here.
- Nubra Valley (altitude: 3000m): The Shyok River meets the Nubra River (or Siachen River) to form a large Nubra valley that separates the Ladakh and Karakoram Ranges. Nubra valley offers a graceful view of yellow and pink wild roses in summer and a carpet of wild lavender in the post-monsoon season.

Day 6: Nubra – Turtuk – Nubra (170 km – 5 Hours)

- Turtuk Village: Turtuk is located on the banks of the Shyok River. Geographically, the village is in the Baltistan region and 2.5 kilometres from L.O.C.
- Diskit Monastery: Diskit Monastery also known is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery (Gompa) in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh. A colossal 32-metre-high statue of Maitreya Buddha is built at the top of a nearby hill.

Day 7: Nubra to Pangong (170 Km – 5 Hours)

- Pangong Lake (altitude: 4225m): Pangong lake is a gem of the Ladakh region, which is recognised for its serene landscape and crystal clear waters. Pangong lake is a gem of the Ladakh region.

Day 8: Pangong – Tsomoriri (180 km – 6 Hours)

- Tsomoriri (altitude: 4530m): Tso Moriri Lake is scenic 26-km-long lake located at 4,530 metres above sea level, flanked by several 6,000m+ peaks. Korzok is the only village on the bank of the lake, one of the highest villages in Ladakh.

Day 9: Tsomoriri to Leh (230 Km – 7 Hours)

- Changpa: Semi Nomadic Tibetan Tribe mainly found in Changtang plateau of Ladakh.
- Tsokar Lake (altitude: 4530m): Tso Kar Lake is located at an elevation of 4,530 metres on the high-altitude plateau of Rupshu. The white colour comes from the thick layer of salt deposited along its shores. The lake is surrounded by marshlands home to the Tibetan wild ass (kiang) and the rare black-necked crane, a heaven for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Necessary Information

– Only post-paid mobile phone works in Leh-Ladakh, preferably BSNL, Airtel and Jio, As phones may not work in many places, keep family members informed well in advance not to worry if they fail to contact.
– You would hardly find cellular network in most of the areas in Leh. You would find BSNL, Airtel and Jio signals at some major towns and villages (Leh, Hunder and Diskit) but you cannot expect high-speed internet also.
– Always keep a pair of woollen/Sweater/Jackets with you as temperature may dip as low as 5 degrees any time even during summer months.
– Please carry good Sun Screen lotion, sunglasses (goggles), Cap with you to avoid sunburn as sun rays are direct and can burn your skin.
– Carry photo id with you all the time. Driving License, Passport, Voter Cards, and Aadhaar are valid photo IDs.
While travelling on the mountains, keep drinking water and eating healthy food and fruits to avoid high altitude sickness and dizziness due to curvy roads, low air pressure and dry air.
– Keep basic medicine of headache, Stomach ache, Anti-vomiting tablets with you.
– You may consume Diamox at least 7-8 hours before arrival at Leh (preferably before falling asleep) and may also take before boarding plane to Leh. The medicine is optional and we never advise. Drinking enough water, Eating Healthy Food and proper rest for some hours after reaching Leh is advised to get proper acclimatized.
– Leh has some ATM machines where you can withdraw cash. These machines witness long queues of customers during peak season and run out of cash many times. Non-connectivity is another issue. So carrying enough cash is advisable.
– We as a traveller, Expected to respect Buddhist and Muslim culture of Ladakh. People of all communities here believe in brotherhood, harmony and respects the tourists. The residents expect the same from the tourists.

- 100% refund 28days prior to trip date exclusive of GST
- 30% cancellation charges if cancellation done between 28 to 14 days prior or Full amount can be transferred to any of our upcoming event in next 2 month, but cannot be transferred to another participant
- 70% cancellation charges if cancellation done between 14 to 7 days prior or 50% amount can be transferred to any of our upcoming event in next 2 month, but cannot be transferred to another participant
- Fees are neither refundable nor transferable if cancellation done, less than 7 days prior to event date

Precautionary for Covid19

- Wearing mask or face cover and carrying personal hand sanitizer is compulsory.
- During hiking, sights scene, travelling or any activities, avoid/minimize physical touch.
- Separate transportation can be arranged for personal group or you can choose to drive on your own to the campsite/homestay or base location.
- Group transportation in bus or tempo traveller will be arranged for fix departure date as per government guideline.
- Necessary hygiene and precautions will be taken care at the campsite and during Activities
- If you are feeling unwell due to fever or any medical reason, than strictly avoid travel till you feel well.
